On view until 11 January 2027, the exhibition considers how artists balance deliberation with spontaneity, and how that tension gives each work its particular character. When viewed together, the paintings reveal a shared openness and curiosity, as well as a decisiveness that binds them from within.
Curator David Salle writes, 'For Joffe, originality rests with the commitment to paint from observation – from life, without resort to a mediating image. The expressivity of her work emerges from the openness, precision, and conviction of the marks made by her brush.'
