ICA Miami opens in its new home in the heart of the Miami Design District. Opening displays include a new installation of paintings by Chris Ofili. The installation will remain on view until 27 October 2019.
Ofili’s extended-run installation will evolve over the course of its duration, with works being added and/or subtracted over time.
The new building features more than 20,000 square feet of exhibition galleries and a public sculpture garden, enabling the museum to expand its reach and programmes. Designed by Aranguren & Gallegos Arquitectos, the new building reflects both the unique cultural landscape of Miami and the museum’s mission of engaging the public with the work of the most innovative local and international artists working today.
