On view 19 February–20 April 2025, the artist's first institutional exhibition in his hometown draws from his 30-year career.
Some 70 works are on view, organised into four sections that examine different aspects of the painter's practice: the importance of drawing as the basis of painting; the surface as a space of representation and as a plastic element; the form in pictorial composition and in the creation of his own language; and the human figure, which is Hernández's only foray outside of abstraction.
