Victoria Miro gallery now represents the radical 85-year-old artist Paula Rego and plans a major show in London at the end of next year, aligning with the artist’s retrospective at Tate Britain (June 16-October 24). Unlike many older female artists, Rego has long been a success: her first solo exhibition in the UK was at London’s Serpentine Gallery in 1988.
The gallery brings Rego’s works on paper to Frieze London Viewing Room (October 9–16).
