Victoria Miro is delighted to participate in Art Basel Paris with new, recent and historical works by gallery artists. A focus of the presentation features artists with major institutional exhibitions opening across Europe this autumn.
Works by Yayoi Kusama include a significant bronze Pumpkin sculpture. On 12 October a major touring retrospective of work by Kusama opens at the Fondation Beyeler, Riehen, Switzerland. The exhibition is jointly organised by Fondation Beyeler with Museum Ludwig in Cologne (where it will be on view in 2026) and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (on view 2026–2027).
Major historical works include paintings from the 1960s by Alice Neel and Milton Avery. From 31 October, Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin, presents Alice Neel: I Am the Century, the first retrospective in Italy dedicated to Neel’s work, highlighting her pioneering vision and her interest in humanity in all its forms. On view at MICAS, Malta, from 25 October, Colour Form and Composition: Milton Avery and his enduring influence on contemporary painting, features works by Milton Avery from across his career shown alongside contemporary artists whose work reveals his profound impact.
A new photographic work by Isaac Julien aligns with the world premiere of All That Changes You. Metamorphosis, a new film installation on view from 4 October at the Palazzo Te Foundation in Mantua, Italy, on the occasion of its 500th anniversary. A painting by Kudzanai-Violet Hwami anticipates the solo exhibition They have always been here, which opens at Kunsthal Rotterdam on 8 November.
Further gallery artists on view include Jules de Balincourt, Hernan Bas, María Berrío, Secundino Hernández, Chantal Joffe, Idris Khan, Maria Nepomuceno, Chris Ofili, Celia Paul, Grayson Perry, Paula Rego, Hedda Sterne, Do Ho Suh and Adriana Varejão.
