Final week – Conrad Shawcross: What is to become is already here at MICAS

What is to become is already here (until 18 January 2026) includes a display of the artist's light works in the barrel vaults of the MICAS site. This is the largest display of these related light works by the artist to date, revealing the experimental approach Shawcross takes to exploring concepts such as time, space, and human perception.

The exhibition is on view alongside a site-specific commission installed on the ancient historic battlements, as well as the permanent acquisition of The Dappled Light of the Sun (Formation I), which stands at the museum's entrance.
