Installed on Procida, an island off the coast of Naples, Christan Holstad's Consider Yourself as a Guest (Cornucopia) is made entirely from plastic waste. The work, 'is a reflection of our impact on the planet and our consumptive roles within the growing plastic mass,' says the artist.
Holstad's work is situated on the northeast part of the island, in the medieval village of Terra Murata, and is on view from 2–5 September as part of Panorama, an island-wide exhibition organised by ITALICS, a consortium of 50 Italian galleries, including Victoria Miro Venice.
Curated by Vincenzo de Bellis, Curator and Associate Director of Programs, Visual Arts at Walker Art Center
