This two-volume publication serves to mark and celebrate the two exhibitions of work by Yayoi Kusama at the Victoria Miro Gallery in 2007 and 2008.
The first volume focuses on Kusama's Infinity-Net paintings and includes installation views and images of all the sculptures and installations in the exhibition. It also includes a substantial essay by the UK academic and art historian Jo Applin. Her essay situates Kusama's work in the context of European abstract painting, and discusses the remarkable new silkscreens and sculptures in relation to Kusama's earlier practice. The second volume includes an enlightening interview between Yayoi Kusama and Gallery Director Glenn Scott Wright about this new body of work.
